Coming from someone who really liked original Flappy Bird :D this game is very good!!

Controls are snappy, art style is nice.

Only negative thing that I have to say is that it's not always completely obvious which objects are in background and which are obstacles, but I guess that's part of figuring out some levels.

Also, having some wind animation / effect next to fans showing their range would be nice piece of polish as well.

Great work!

Thank you for the suggestion! I will remember this when doing the post-jam update.

I just completed a wonderful game from start to finish in one sitting!

Brilliant work!

It reminded me a lot of Celeste game - and that's a compliment.

Beautiful pixel art, gradual introduction of new mechanics and challenges.

Loved the use of the Stonks meme :)

But there are some shortcomings in my opinion, maybe they will help make the project better:

- you need to add the sound of death, something like the sound of crumpled paper

- add a visual effect of death - an explosion of white pixels can be enough, or it can turn the airplane into a crumpled ball of paper and let it quickly fall down behind the screen

- at factory locations it was often unclear what was an obstacle and what was the background. Yes, I see that you added red lines as hints, but this is not enough - I noticed it, but not immediately. You can increase the contrast in color, make the background paler, or remove the black outline from everything that is not in the foreground.

- fans are quite a complicated thing, for me they turned out to be more complicated than bubbles, I would say that it is not immediately clear how exactly they work. As far as I understand, they only allow you to fly in one direction, maybe you should add some kind of effect when they affect the airplane, maybe just a sound effect

- the sound of the bubbles wouldn’t hurt either, but I really liked the idea of them and how they work

- sound for collecting keys is also needed, since they are the player’s goal and greatly change the level, I would like to add juiciness and emphasize their importance and strength, in the game Super Meat Boy there was a good sound for collecting keys, which also changed the level

Thanks again for the game, a very fresh take on Flappy Bird with the ability to change direction in an open world inspired by Celeste!

Thank you so so much for your detailed suggestion!

There are many things mention here that is actually on this project’s to-do list like adding sounds, death animation, fan wind’s particles, and even more stuffs like the last 5 levels to make the level count reach 30 (include a final boss fight)… But because I’m extremely busy during the game jam, I have to cut many corners.

I will make a post-jam update that include your and others suggestions.
